Monitor power light blinks

Microsoft Windows 7 home premium

Specs: Windows 7 & XP, 4gb
I have a samsung monitor model number 2043bwx. When hooked up to hd and turn it on it sits there for several minutes with the power light blinking. Some times you can turn off the power to the monitor and back on again and it will start up. Funny thing is when hooked to vga and not hd it comes on like a new monitor.
I have opened it up and the capacitors all look like bulging at all.
Does anyone have any idea where the trouble may be?

Your post makes no sense:

hooked up to hd ?

hooked to vga ?

If you are trying to tell use that when attached to on-board graphics the monitor is OK and when attached to the add-in Graphics Card it is not, then obviously the Graphics Card would appear to be at fault !

Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....

It is obvious that you know little about computers because the add-on graphic card has both hd and vga plugs.
When I said I have checked the capacitors that would be in the monitor. From what I understand capacitors was the leading example of this problem in the monitor.
I have hooked the monitor to another computer and the same thing happens which leads me to the monitor.
But I guess it was my mistake to ask a question here.

LOL, I believe that's only one of many mistakes you've made. You ask a vague question, you get a response asking you to clarify things and you get insulting.
