Monitor only works if started after PC loads OS

Specs: Windows Vista
If I start my vista computer (not reboot) with the monitor turned on the monitor will show the initial screen (i.e. boot to bios push etc.) then the vista progress bar appears and then the blue windows logo appears and then the monitor stays dark.

Work around:

But if I turn the computer on (monitor off) and let it cycle up to the logon screen and then turn the monitor on everything works. I think there is some software pass off that isn't happening,.

Try to enable low-resolution video (640 x 480) by tapping F8 key when u start the system & then use the native resolution or reinstall video driver.

You know the real meaning of peace only if you have been through the war.
