Specs: N/A
The other day when I turned on my computer it turned on and went to the black screen that u see when u start it up with all the words on it anyways it never beeped or it didn't go to the home screen. I replaced the motherboard less then six months ago. I don't know what to do. I need to get it fixed before my hubby deploys.

You've gotta do better than that if you want some help. List the system specs in as much detail as possible - make/model of motherboard, CPU, RAM, power supply, etc. What is on the screen "with all the words on it"?

I called the ho guys and they told me that it may be my motherboard again. I had it fixed before February 2010 and it went out again. Is it worth me fixing it or to buy a whole new computer?

The monitor says it's "going to sleep" because it's not getting a signal from the video card. Whether it's due to a bad motherboard, bad video card, bad power supply, etc I can't say. Personally, I'd say it's unlikely it's the board again. Lower level tech support people generally aren't computer repair people. All they do is consult a list of possibilities based on the info you provide. If you stated that the board was replaced before, you planted the seed in their head causing them to say, "it's probably the board again". Tell them you want to speak to a "Level 3" technician.
