Hi, I'll be working on the computer and all of a sudden it will just go out on me. I then check all the plugs, especially the two connected to the monitor and the screen will come back on than it will go out again. Sometimes it will do this a few times than be fine for the rest of the day. (I work from home so I'm on the computer at least 5 hours) It's not the screen saver. Could it be a loose connection that keeps getting loose or is it the monitor? Help It's soooo frustrating.
Can you provide more details about the monitor, and what type of video card it is connected to ? Is the connection VGA or DVI ? Of course, the obvious thing to try is another cable(VGA, DVI, or power cord), and then another monitor if possible.
Thank you KX for some ideas to trouble shoot. I wasn't able to log in as Ddddddd again.................... I believe its a VGA. I do not know what type of video card. I will start with the cable, than see if there's still a warreenty on this monitor. It's so random when it happens it makes me think A) it's the connection that keeps getting loose somehow or B) It's the monitor and one day it will just go Kaput. Thanks.
