All capitals are frowned upon in most forums, Ray.
But anyway, if you do not get the single initial beep, that means the motherboard is not working and that's why you don't get a display. No initial (POST) beep indicates a hardware problem, usually (but not always) with the power supply or motherboard.

Hi there, like many others i have the same problem of my monitor going blank but the power light remaining on green. on what others have experienced and said, i replaced x6 470uf capacitors and x1 220uf capacitor. only the 220 appeared to 'bulge'. unfortunately, after replacing the 7 capacitors, the problem remains, so it appears i had no problem with the capacitors. has any one any other suggestions to how to fix or what is causing the problem? cheers in advance, gordon
