I have a little question about monitor and there brightness.
My Monitor which is an LG 99G 19" is a little dark if I set Nvidias software to standard so I have compensated this by increasing gamma to about 1.47 (normal is 1.0) but when my brother bought a new monitor (Acer AC713B) not so long ago I did see a big differencein brightness between my monitor and his, and he have all the prefs on standard. Have monitors been so much better than mine that is about 3years old?
If I have to compensate my monitor to his level with Nvidia software the screen has a little tendency of be to bright and not so natural as my brothers monitor.
My monitor have to stay for a while now so I have to live with it but is the diffrence really this big or can it also depend on what brand you have?

If you were to scroll down this forum by about a page, you will find a similar question (part 2) from Christopher.

Take your monitor to a TV repairman and ask him/her to adjust the master brightness. I think a 19" monitor would be worth the minor cost.
