When I turn on the Computer it seems to be booting up ok.Light on the computer tower shows a lot of activity. The Monitor however is blank and the yellow light is flashing. If I turn the Monitor off and on a few times the screen comes on and everything is there. The monitor is a Sony 200Gs. Any help would be appreciated.

If the box seems to be booting up ok, the problem is probably the monitor, the monitor cable or the graphics adapter. Try another monitor.

Just a thought. Is this crt plugged into a powerstrip? If it is try plugging it in to the wall directly (to test it). If it works that means the powerstrip can't handle the power spike of a crt (250-300 watts or more when starting up). If it does that usually means the pwer transformer inside is failing and it would be cheaper to buy a 17in lcd than to repair it. G/l
