My monitor blacks out randomly for a few seconds and comes backs on again. Sometimes it even blacks out for as long as 10 seconds and the monitor light changes to orange and displays"going to sleep". I have no idea why this happens. Ive tried everything, monitor driver update, rollbacks, grahics card driver rollback, unistall, updates...
i need help desprately... the black outs are getting worse and worse... sometimes when it comes back on again, the display is all scrambled up. no idea why!
confirm that cpu is still running.

however, there is something abt theis prob. after abt 1/2 hr to 1hr... the blackouts stop occuring or occur much less... seems like a warm up or smthing.. smtimes i think i fix the prob after updating, but the next time i on the comp, same thing happens..

need help!!!

Hi
check your video card is seated correctly and all the cables are plugged in ok,
Now check your graphic card drivers ere correct reinstall if needs be.

is the monitor powered from your pc power supply ?
if so it could be a warning all is not well with the psu :(
or suspect your monitor is about to fail.
either get it sorted before you loose the lot, monitors can go without warning taking out your mobo unless spike protected.

I would try reseating the monitor cable, but I really suspect the video card.
