hi i recently bought a barebones system and have built it according to the manual. after initial teething beeps i got that sorted however i have yet to use it. When i plug the monitor power lead in the monitor shows a green light to say on and displays the no signal message, when i attach the signal cable to the pc the monitor turns off. Very frustrating

Try reseating the graphics card & using just one stick of memory . if this fails try disconnecting all the hardware including pci cards & if you get screen activity. reconnect one at a time until no post

Jus tto be sure try another screen or monitor cable first!
Try clearing the CMOS as according to the motherboard manual to reset the settings in the BIOS back to their defaults.
If still no luck, try with just RAM, CPU, PSU and motherboard (no hard drives, modems etc.) and see whether it works. Build the system up to see whats causing it to not boot.
