Modifying Partition size

I have a new 1TB that I want to divide into 2 500 MB harddrives. I don't want to buy PartitionMagic for this one shot deal. Can I use MS DiskManagement, delete the partition and then be able to reallocate in 500MB segments?

Yes you can as long as you are aware that you will lose all information on the existing partition if you delete it. Stuart
