I have a Conexant HSF V92 56K RTAD modem which works fine in my Dell Dimension4500 PC running XP. I have just built a PC with MSI K6T m/board, AMD K7 2400+ CPU running win 2kPro but the modem will keep disconnecting after approx 1min30sec.
I have re-installed the driver for win2k, lowered the FIFO faders and reduced the max. port speed but no improvement. I know the modem and cable/line are OK as it works on the Dell.
