hello
i have AOL for my internet. I have a modem problem. I could connect to my aol with my Agere Systems Pci Soft Modem before i put my network card in. I added a Realtek RTL8139 family pci Fast ethernet nic to my computer. once i put my network card in and set up my network the modem stopped working. when i goto query my modem get the message saying the modem failed to respond. Make sure it is properly connected. if it is a internal modem or is connected, verify that the interrupt for this port is properly set.
when i took out the network card the modem worked fine. the IRQ is 5 right now with the network card.can some1 tell me how to fix my problem. and get my modem to dial. and it is on comm 7.
please help. thanks to anyone who trys
