My Acer modem (external) cant detect dial tone. I have checked the phone line, connections/jacks. Reinstalled driver. Tested the Modem's basic AT commands and queried/diagnosed modem. All the results are positive, only that my problem is not solved and I cant hear a dial tone from my modem speaker when I try to connect; just some noise like sound and then message: no dial tone.
