what is the minimum CPU speed and RAM amount required to operate a CD Burner? i.e. i am stuck with a 233mhz Compaq with 128mb RAM until the Hard Drive in my good system is replaced (i ordered one but it is not here yet). with a 233mhz with 128mb RAM be capable of operating a CD Burner? if not, what is the minimum requirements?

It should be able to without an real problems. You will however have to turn the burn speed down from max to 16x or 8x (or possibly lower) or it won't burn properly and you'll make coasters. You'll probably have to manually set the burn speed each time you use it as well.

I still have a number of music cd's I burnt ages ago on a 486/24 with 32Mb. This was Win 3.1, which is less memory hungry, and 2x burner, but it shows that if you turn the speed down you should be OK.
