I just built a new system and am using a new Microsoft "wireless comfort keyboard 1.0A" with it. The mouse that came in the bundle is a Microsoft "wireless optical mouse 2.0A".

The problem I am having with it is that when playing a game (everquest2), the keyboard does not function properly. W,S,A,D keys are used for movement. When moving forward (w) and pressing to turn (d) the movement completely freezes until you release the W key and press it again.

I have installed the very latest drivers for the mouse and keyboard. I have updated my BIOS (for Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe). My graphics card is up to date (BFG nVidia 6800 Ultra OC). Windows is up to date and has SP2. Everything is up to date.

I have a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse that I hooked up to the computer and they work correctly.

I called Microsoft tech support and they said that the product id number I had was not for their product, because it is an OEM keyboard. What a joke! They were going to charge me $35.00 to talk to them. I am just going to return the keyboard to the online dealer I purchased it from if I cannot get it working.

Does anyone have any ideas for a solution to this keyboard problem?

Thanks
Rookie79
