Hi
Ive bought this camera off Ebay and it hasnt come with any software or driver cd's.
Does anyone have the software and drivers that can be sent to me or an idea where they would be located.
Ive spent the past 12 hours searching.

Ive tried lifecam 2.4, 1.4 and 1.2.
I cant find any support, software or drivers.
Its recognised as a usb compsote drvice but it doesnt activate and it doesnt show as a webcam!!...
Help!!

I'm not real familiar with Vista, so I don't know if Service Pack 2 or 3 is relative to the OS. I would think that MS would have the drivers for the cam on the OS, but maybe not. You could go into control panel / device manager with the device plugged in and see if it shows up there. If it does, right click on it and choose update drivers from the menu. Choose search the web option. I would also contact the seller on Ebay and tell them you need the software for it. Let this be a lesson about Ebay.

had same issue with a nx6000 life cam, i dont know what m$
are doing with their drivers but i found the the original driver dosnt work with vista anyway, when you put in the driver disk a pop up redirects you here (& quite some download it was)
i reset the d/l eventually getting the driver , perhaps they are generic.http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/d...
and as you see it refers to the 7000 even tho there is a vx700
(& mine was a nx6000)

no problem with skype also id'ing the cam correctly so possibly it doesnt need a driver for vista, m$ seem too quick to drop the products and support.

Ive managed to install:
usb compsote device
and
microsoft lifecam.
Using lifecam 1.2.1.4 AND 2.04
NO CAMERA DETECTED!!!!
Not on any software does it turn the camera on or find it............
I give up!!

it gets more bizzare i checked , the vx700 apparently doesnt have a supplied cd driver, it uses vista's built in driver
what happens if you update drivers?

Bought the same camera yesterday for use on my laptop with Vista. Picked up first time. Runs perfectly with all the message systems. Used it last night with Skype. Much clearer than my Logistic Quickcam Messenger.
No software to run it unless you are online. !

It beggers belief!!
I got it working.. for 10 seconds then it flammin turned itself off.
I tried it on my laptop...found the camera installed the drivers.. wont turn on...
Crap. Must be faulty.
