When i try to play NBA Live 2003, my microsoft sidewinder freestlye pro does not work. It used to work for maybe 20min or so but now it doesnt work at all. When i try to install the software that came with it and its update from the microsoft website, it gives me an error saying that this software can not be installed on your system. Therefore since i cant install the base software package i cant install the patch(updates) either. The controller works fine in all other games. For some reason, Windows 2000 autodetects the microsoft joysticks so you cant install the drivers that came with the software. Granted when i got the gamepad the software was compitable for windows 98 (nothing else was out then). What can i do? Can i manually uninstall the drivers to stop win2000 was detecting the gamepad automatically? If so, will this crash my PC? What are the steps that i need to do? Any other suggestions? Any help would be great :) Oh if it means anything, i'm running DirectX 9.0a
