Specs: Windows XP, Intel core 2 duo
I have a microsoft bluetooth elite keyboard and mouse. It has worked well for years. Tonight the keyboard didn't work anymore, so I changed the batteries several times. I reinstalled several times and each time, was able to type the passkey on the keyboard successfully. It took the passkey and said it was connected. The problem is that I cannot type anything else since the passkey. I tried multiple browsers and office apps. When I type, nothing shows up. It still says connected in the bluetooth menu. funny thing, I sync'd it with a nokia small tablet and it types on there, why not my computer? My mouse works. Any ideas???

Did you relocate the base unit? Have you recently connected additional USB devices?

no, I have not relocated the base unit, which is my computer. I have not moved it a single inch, nor have I put any new items in this room such as phones, radios, or anything like that. I have not installed any new programs, or any other usb devices other then the ones I usually use (scanner) I was typing, then using the mouse, and when I went back to typing, it wouldn't type.

I have removed and installed the keyboard at least 10 times. I have removed the drivers, reinstalled them. updated them. at least 4 times. I have put in 5 sets of batteries, with the last 2 brand new out of the package. The bluetooth window shows that my keyboard is connected,

Why does it work on other computers and not mine?
