on very first screen, i saw a message"press f1 to continue or press del to enter setup". i just don't want this message to be displayed. just continue after booting.not to ask press f1 ...........help me out.

Something is not set correctly or some hardware is not working correctly. Check it out by entering the setup. Look at the date and time. correct if wrong. Are all components functioning as they should?

Yes, something is fishy in the bios settings. If you can't find the problem. look for an option called 'Reset configuration data'. Enable it and reboot. After the reboot, the option will be automatically turned off.

i have had that message displayed on numerous occasions......and it was all due to a "touchy" "sensitive" power-lead connection into the back of my Floppy Drive.

if i've got that lead plugged straight in horizontaly (flat), i get that message. so i've gotta angle the lead upwards a bit and voila no F1 message displayed.

i got that problem solved.once again thanx.

i have mercury m/b.i have mine old sata hdd(80gb) because my os get hang ,with 40gb pata hdd.my problem is that this hdd contain linux & xp.i can
run linx but when i start xp it get rebooted.wat sh
