Reply: (edit)You can create a stripped volume, which is what we are talking about, under software control with Windows XP. Also known as RAID 0. For RAID 0 you need a RAID controller, either built into the motherboard or as a PCI card. Type striped into the PX Help and Support centre. Striped volumes are not fault tolerant and cannot be extended or mirrored. Which means that if one disk fails, you stand a good chance of losing all your data with little chance of recovery. Therefore if you have any critical data, make sure you keep regular backups. Having 160 Mbs in a single volume is risky unless there is some overiding need for such a large volumne and the only reason I know of for that is if you are editing large video files. Stuart
