Hi,
As it stands, I have P4 - 2.4GHz, 256MB PC2700 DDR 333 RAM... I'm about to put in another 512MB of RAM... 2 questions... A) Does it have to be the same brand RAM??? And B) Does it matter which slot??? For example, does the 512MB have to be in Slot 1 because it's bigger??? Thanks in advance!!!

question 1: no, it doesn't matter, but if you want to run dual channel, you will need the same brand and same size, e.g. 256 + 256
please feel free to correct me if i am wrong

question 2: its better to put the better memory in slot1

As far as I know the brands don't matter.
But it's recommended to install the biggest module is slot 1.
