memory slots

On this board there are 3 memory slots do they all have to be filled Gigabyte GA-7VA or can i buy one 512 stick or would it be better to go 2x 256 sticks or what. can i leave 2 or 1 slots empty etc thanks for any help

You can fill just one, two or all three slots. One 512Mb module will be fine. Leaves you more options if you need to install more memory at a later date.
