I bought a 256mb DDR300 pc2100 memory chip from PC Club when I really wanted to go up to 512mb but didn't have the dough at the time. Now in their newsletter I see that they are having a sale on 256mb DDR400 PC3200 memory. So my question is can I mix with the one that I have or do they have to be identical?

"256mb DDR300 pc2100"

It's either DDR266/PC2100 or DDR333/PC2700...unless they've come up with a new designation?

The DDR400/PC3200 should work with either of the above, but it will run at the slower speed
