Memory limit on a 64bit capable 32bit PC

November 4, 2010 at 02:33:17
Specs: Windows XP, 3.199 GHz / 1526 MB
I am aware of the 3GB memory barrier of 32 bit systems. But if I am installing 64bit Windows on a 32 bit system (64bit capable) will I be able to use more than 3 GB?

if your cpu is capable of 64bit then go ahead and install 64bit os. Yes u can use more than 3gb if 64bit os is installed.
Before installing 64bit os check if 64bit drivers are available.

To access more than about 3GB of RAM you must have a 64 bit OS installed. How much more will depend on your hardware and OS version and edition.
