Memorex DVD+RW 4x discs

Bought a 10 disc pack of 4X 4.7GB discs. Do these have a virus or something. Quits saving even after deleting previous saved items. Use maybe twice for church bulletin, which does not have much to it, and it quits. Won't even open.

Use different brand then. "Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Are you sure your burner can use DVD + RW disks? Perhaps you can only use DVD minus.
