Does anyone know where i can get a MiniDisc Burner for my PC? 3.5 inch drive or 5.25 inch type drive (not external). I know they exist because Sony put one in one of their computers, the PCV-MXS10(also the PCV-MXS2R and PCV-MXS3R in japan only). Maybe someone knows where to buy a replacement MD Burner for the PCV-MXS10?

Hey there Tech-Fred, you aren't up with the tech. MiniDiscs (aka MD), are completely different from Mini-Cd's. Mini-CD's are smaller CD discs, where as MiniDiscs are similar small CD's only inside a case that kinda look like a 3.5 floppy disk.

here check this out.

Sorry about that. Are you looking for the
audio or the data drive? Apparently they are
not quite the same. The MDM-111 is SCSI.
About $700 in 1995 when introduced for IBM
Thinkpad. It appears it has(had) no future
in the US data market.

Apparently SONY is using the audio version
for the music market. The PCV-MXS10 has an Audio MO Drive. You will probably have to
find the interface and the drivers if you
want to install it in your own system.
