I got a computer donated by a friend. The computer has Motherboard Asrock 775V88. I want to install operating system into to Maxtor HDD SATA, but when I boot from Windows XP CD, I got the message NO HDD FOUND. I been reading through many forums and many of them recommend to use floppy that came with SATA HDD. I don’t have this floppy and I tried to download the mentioned floppy (floppy driver for SATA) from official ASROCK website, but without successes (motherboard was not able to recognize).
Can some one advice me where I can find the SATA Driver for :
MAXTOR DiamondMax Plus 80GB SATA/150
And what I should do in order to install the operating system in the mentioned drive.

What you need is the SATA controller drivers. They are part of the chipset drivers for the MBOard. Below is a link to the DL page. Download and find the SATA driver. Copy it to a floppy disk. When booting the computer from the OS CD you will get a screen asking if you need to install any SATA or third party drivers. At that time follow the prompts and supply the floppy. Don't remove the floppy until instructed to do so. You might want to also grab other files for that MBoard while you are there. http://www.asrock.com/support/downl...
