Comment:

I have a sony vaio which has an Mats---a UJ-832D dvd burner(Panasonic??). I have successfully burnt 2 dvds with it, but it no longer works.

My first error (using Nero) was a power calibration error.

I received this error for about a week.

Now when i go to burn a dvd, i get a progress bar saying 'waiting for the drive to become ready'. But the drive never does become ready.

I can't find a firmware update anywhere.

Could be an issue with power connectors? is that why i was getting the power calibration error? Only problem with that theory is that I can wtch dvds on the drive. (watching one as i type.)

Thanks
