Comment: Hello could any body help me to find out about non-mechanical mass storage devices. Please suggest any useful link to find out the technical information. i need to know how they work, what are their advantages or disadvantages. Reply: (edit)PNY Attache'..... LEXAR JumpDrive...... They got ads about them on their websites, but not much tech stuff. I have one of each brands. 64mb I think they are basically a memory chip with a power supply to keep the memory while it is not plugged it. Plugging in to the USB port re-charges it. They say they will store data for approx 10 years! Because I have Win98 I had to download the drivers but anything above Win98 will auto load the drivers. I LUV THEM! They are fast, hold a lot of data and much easier to carry around than anything else I've found so far. Inculding zip disks. Hope this helps.
