|Back in the old days some businesses had phones with no number dial or touch tone buttons so as to keep employees from dialing out. Turns out you can simulate pulse dialing by quickly moving the phone hook or hang-up buttons up and down. For example, if you were Tommy Tutone and wanted to dial 867-5309 you'd click it up and down 8 times, then pause, then 6 times, then pause, etc. You'd usually get a lot of wrong numbers but the theory was good.|
I know, I know, that's not practical but yet, you never know when you'll be stranded somewhere and your only hope of rescue is a phone that won't dial out. Then you'll thank me!
Seriously, you either need to add touch tone service to that line or get a different phone. Goodwill has a lot of old phones.
