Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP3, 2.394 GHz / 1023 MB
This managed to get installed thro my ignorance, in association with something else. I do not quite understand what has been done, but an item appears in the list of drives as Drive E: and is Magic Iso VirtualDVD-ROM. It looks a very useful program, but of no use to me at all. I can't use it, can't even access it, it is disabled but I have so far been unable to remove it. Wrote to Magic-ISO and got no reply (surprise, surprise)

Anyone know how to get rid of it.

Did you un-install the program it came with? It was for copying copy-protected disks.

✔ Best Answer
What you are referring to as the E: drive is a vitual CDROM drive and you can use it to mount ISO images & volumes so that you can access their content without burning to disk.

If you are able to run MagicISO then select view from the menu options and select settings, then click on the tab titled Virtual CD/VDV drive. From there you should be able to enable or disable the virtual drive as you wish.

If however, you want to total uninstall magicISO then you should be able to uninstall it from
control panel > add remove programs and select magicISO from the program list.

When everything else fails, read the instructions.
