My lower front fan on my mid size tower ,has been making a whirling sound initially when I turn on my PC ? After its been running for about five minutes or so ,the annoying sound goes away .This I believe is telling me its about to go ,however I have always opened up my tower and blew out the dust from all fans and kept the inside of this PC very clean ! Well I decided to take out the fan and do a aggressive cleanning on it ,I wanted to completely unplug it ,however I was confuse when two of the four lines going from the power supply to, 2 seperate ares on fan ,appeared one of them was directly connected to the power supply maknig it impossible to simply unplug .Has anyone ever come accoss this kind of setup where a front intake fan that is about a 5" square box ,attached directly to the power supply ? Just curious .After I cleaned it and reattached to the tower ,it is now quiet from bootup on ,I believe some dust bunnies where causing it to make this sound ,so it may still have some life left in it ! Thanks Nick

Hi, Never saw that one before. The bearing are probably dry. Until you can find a replacement, poke a small hole in the label and put a tiny drop of 3-in-1 oil or equivalent in. It will probabley work great until you get a good one. Luck, Jim
