Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit, 2.4 GHz / 4094 MB
i had a custom built pc which is pretty high spec:intel q6600 8800gt 2 gig kingston ddr2 ram a 650w power supply with at least 23A on all voltages and an ms-7360 motherboard. i recently installed another 2 gig of ram however for some reason my pc didnt like this and started running wow at about 9 fps (used to run at 60 99% of the time) and making my sound flicker every now and again when i scroll down a page. i have no clue what to do all my drivers are up to date and my os has all updates. if anyone knows how to fix this please help

If it was working fine before the addition of memory, remove the memory you just installed and see if the machine returns to normal.

Basic troubleshooting should tell you that a problem just after installing something (hardware/software) would point to that something.

It's certainly possible you bought incompatible memory and the thing to do now is remove that memory in order to pin down the problem.
