Specs: Windows 7, Intel Quad Core 2.13 Ghz/ 6 GB (3.25GB Usable)
So i just recently rebuilt a computer and for some reason whenever i go away for a period of time i come back or have someone call me informing me that my computer is making a loud non stop screeching noise... its pretty loud and the only way to stop it is by holding down the power switch and seems to only occur when the computer is in sleep mode. I Don'y have a clue what could be causing this noise but ive always been the person who never really shuts down his computer. The sound comes out of the tower not the speakers

Motherboard: ASUS P5N-D NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI, Socket 775, ATX
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX

Do you have a cat?

I guess the best thing to do would be to open the case while it's making the noise and see if you can figure out where it's coming from.

Real men don't use AntiVirus; they just reformat
