I was on my computer as normal, just surfing the web. All of the sudden my Dell fan starts getting loud and turning faster and starts blowing out very cool air. The fan was never this loud before and I had my Dell 8200 for a while. I opened the case, removed the fan, gave it a good dusting, installed it back, and it still runs fast and loud. And when I say loud I mean it turns faster then normal. And when I put my hand near the fan very cool air is blowing out, like it was a regular house fan.

So after turning off the PC for 2 hours, I turned it on again and the fan still spins faster and louder then usual. The PC hasn't experience any trouble. Even with the fan spinning faster and louder I was on the web surfing and never had trouble.

Why is my fan turning so fast and loud with very cool air blowing from it? I can hear the fan from rooms away. Any suggestions on a fan made for the Dimension or how to make the one I have less noisy.

Doesn't the 8200 have a fan in the power supply and one muffin fan above the processor in the back of the duct?

It might be that it hadn't worked in a while and now being faulty it started to work.

Get new fan.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
