Hello. I bought a Sony VAIO in 2001 and at the time, it was a very quiet machine. It seems that since then, the machine has become very loud. It seems like its the fan. I blasted some air all around the insides...is there anything else I can try? I tried taking it apart to tighten screws, but the damn thing has protective casing around everything inside! email me or reply for help please!

Sounds like the bearings on the cooling fan going out. Needs to be replaced. Unfortuneatly I think Sony manufacturer is the only place you can send to get fixed...
