Specs: Windows 7 Home Premium, Intel Core i3 540, Asus P7-H55, 8(now 4) GB RAM
Well, i realized i have faulty ram because when i take out two of the sticks (that came in the same package). I have 8 gigs but 4 of it is faulty. I also get corrupted files and cannot install lots of programs like Camtasia Studio or the CS5 Master Collection. So please help me. I could also only get Windows 7 Home Premium to install. Not Ultimate or Pro. i got lots of errors.

Is all the RAM the same? Did you manually configure the RAM settings (speed, voltage, timings) in the BIOS or did you simply go with AUTO? It's generally best to configure the RAM to the manufacturer's spec, not let the BIOS autodetect.

Also, RAM should always be tested with memtest86 to confirm it's good before the OS is installed.

Did you manually configure the BIOS settings? Test each stick individually.

Are you running Windows 7 32 bit? All 32 bit OSes can only handle 4GB of RAM.

Go to the link below and click on the tab for memory /device support. Then download the list of tested RAM for the processor you are running. Using RAM off that list is not the only RAM that may work but it assures you it will work.
