Comment:

hi, i have lost the cd for my sound card and i have spent HOURS looking for a legit download.

iv tired going to the company website but they "no longer support this product" and after looking for a while on the website i finaly dug up a download only to become disapointed because that download only worked for windows 98 :(

this computer is running on windows 2000 so if anyone can some how find me a download or copy their cd and email it to me or give me suggestions on where to look for it that would be awesome.

lol almost forgot to mention its Sound Blaster 16

It's a number silkscreened (printed) on the card; like CT4310.

Dave is trying to narrow down which card you might have. They made many versions, plus others made SB compatible cards.

OK, I just found the same download on creative's site:

http://support.creative.com/downloa...

You may also need to download the waveset files there too.

Sorry about that. I think it has to do with the nature of an aspx page. The download page is for a Vibra 128. Seems if you don't follow the circuitous route I did or have it in your cookies, you can't get there directly. I'll see if I can find a better link.

Does this work:

http://support.creative.com/Product...

Then on the View: Driver | Application | All click 'all'.

It's the 4.2 meg stand-alone install for 2000, XP and ME.
