Can someone help me, I got a registry error which said I had to reboot my computer, which I did
When I got windows up, I found my CD and CD R/RW drives had vanished even though they show up in my bios.
Does anyone now how I can get them back without having to go from scratch please.

Do you have...
1. No CDROM listed in Device Manager or My Computer 2. Device Manager shows yellow ! on Hard Disk Controllers 3. Performance shows drives running in MS-DOS Compatibility mode
Try this...
Run REGEDIT and search for NOIDE It will be here if you have it in your registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\VXD\IOS Look on right hand screen for NOIDE and delete it, if found
Bonne chance Krystyna
