The touchpad on my Toshiba C650-15Z laptop has stopped working. It was initially working when the laptop was first used. However, since using a USB mouse, using FN +F9 to disable the touchpad, installing software including 'Windows 7 (64bit) updates' the touchpad no longer works. I installed the latest touchpad driver from the Toshiba website for my model and Windows 7
Device Manager displays it correctly (as well as the external USB mouse) and reports that it is functioning correctly. I suspect that the FN + F9 function may not be working. How do I check that the FN + F9 function is still set-up correctly and linked to the touchpad? What software controls this?
