Hi,

I've got an older Micron PC that has always run very solid for me with a Pentium III 733 mhz CPU; but lately I've been thinking of upgrading the chip to get a little more speed. The motherboard is listed as: Cascade III GVC 810E DR742E with Integrated Comp (Millennia EX and ClientPro CT - Cascade III ) (MBD001136-00)

The manual and the technical specs I've found on the web don't give any specifics about maximum speed of the chip I could put in (the specs simply say the board "currently supports a Pentium III processor with a minimum internal clock speed of 500 mhz and higher as new speeds are introduced."

Anybody have one of these boards and upgraded it to a faster CPU? Any help would be much appreciated . . .

I believe that board is an old Intel socket 370. The fastest cpu you can buy for a socket 370 is this one, I may be wrong......
