looking for a 32-bit AGP video card for my Gateway E-4000 pc. only see 64-bit cards. will they work?

The "bit" that you're referring to has to do with the buswidth of the memory used on the video card, it has nothing to do with the OS. What is the purpose of the upgrade? If you want to play games, you should get a card with at least 128-bit memory. 64-bit cards are generally low end cards that are better suited for general purpose or home theather use than for gaming. 32-bit cards will most likely be old/outdated & slow.
