When I try to record TV on my computer, after about 15secs the image freezes the sound can still be heard but my computer locks up and I have to press the reset button to restart it. The TV Card is Avermedia TV.
Anyone know why this happens ?

I have one of those AVerMedia cards. I don't have a problem with one though. Perhaps your CPU is not powerfull enough. Or, check to see if Ultra DMA is enabled...

AVerMedia tech support is stupid. I contacted them because I was only getting 320x240 and they told me that TV is 320x240, non higher.

Click on Start, right-click on My Computer, select properties. Click on the hardware tab. Click on the Device Manager button. Click on the little plus sign next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Now, double click on Primary IDE Channel. Click on the Advanced Settings tab. On the 2 devices listed, where it says Transfer Mode, select DMA if available. Click ok. Now, do the same for Secondary IDE Channel. Click Ok, and X out of everything and restart your computer... It should work...
