Get the manual. You should be able to set up the router without any software.

I agree with wizard-fred. If my Linksys WRT54GL came with a CD, I don't remember using it. Once you log into the router setup (http://192.168.1.1) from an IE address window, you should be able to find Help files in there that explain your setup options. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
