That could only be caused by bad video, or an improperly seated video card, if applicable.

Video does not normally randomly go bad - it goes bad when something has damaged the card, such as a bad power supply, or a power spike or surge if you aren't protected from that, or inserting the card when the power is plugged in.

Look in your bios at particularly the current 3.3, 5, and 12 volt readings - they should all be within 10% of the nominal voltage, or less.
If that's NOT okay, you need another power supply before you damage other things connected to the motherboard.

Make sure your power supply fan is spinning the speed it should be - if the fan has stopped, or is spinning a lot slower than it should, the power supply is overheating and it will eventually die - if the voltages are okay in the bios, you can replace it's fan - if not, you must replace it as soon as you can.

If you have a video card, UNPLUG your computer, open up the case, make sure the video card is all the way down in it's slot. While you're at it, sniff the rear of the case where the power supply exhausts - if it stinks of burnt wiring / burnt plastic the power supply is overheating and it will eventually die - you must replace it as soon as you can.

Plug in the computer and try it.

If that doesn't help, replace your video card if applicable.

If it's onboard video, get a video card, disable the onboard video in the bios.
