I'm not sure how long ago the problem started, but I just started noticing lines across my ViewSonic flatscreen monitor. I'm not sure how old the monitor is but I think it's quite old because I bought it used a few years ago. The line's are more obvious depending on the color the background. But when I'm playing a game they're quite obvious. It's sort of hard to explain, but for example, on a white background i see little grey stripes and then normal while stripes in between. They're sort of moving and shifting too, it's quite annoying. Is my monitor broken or what?

I'm no expert but does your computer have a thumb roll wheel underneath the monitor my Dell has one and it has helped many times Someone out there may advise you more and know exacty what to tell you to do. Good Luck.

I have the same problem with the lines across the monitor with my Dell Deminision 850 MHz when hooked up two different monitors to the Dell as well as a Compaq. The lines show up when attached to the Dell but not the Compaq. Could this be because the drivers are not compatable with the monitors?
