when u get a router it most likely comes with a web page to configure the settings and for help.

With Linksys it's basically plug in the ethernet cables from the PCs and follow the directions that come with it. Or if you are going wireless (recommended in this day and age) read the directions on how to set the PCs up. Pretty straight forward. Linksys web site is available for help also.
