I just noticed only 2 days ago that my monitor which is an LG Flatron has become a victim of colour burn, i can tell that the burn was caused by the locked computer dialog on Windows XP (not using welcome screen). The odd thing is that i noticed it straight away when i went into a game and the screen when white while loading, which is the way this game does it, but the thing is that my computer is set to switch to power saving for the monitor after about 30 mins, so even when locked it should switch to it, is it just me, or does 30 mins seem a little short for colour burn to occur? any way, the main reason im posting is because i was wondering if there was any methods anyone may know of that can get rid of the burn (it is barely noticable when colour is displayed), thanks in advance.
Btw, I have had the monitor for about 1 and half years.

This is actually fairly common on some LCD screens and most manufactures recognize this problem and will replace the monitor. Is your still under warranty?
PS. do a Google search for burn in on LCD screens and you will get quite a few hits.

I have an LG Flatron LCD 563LE and had screen burn a while back.Mine turned out to be non-permanent.It faded and disappeared after a while.
