Can anyone please tell me the difference between lg dvd burners GSA and GWA. The one I am interested in now is the gsa-4161b and gwa-4161b. I have came across both these labelling systems before and dont know why lg uses both.

Looks like gsa is euro. Gwa is american.

That may be it. Both are probably available in Australia. The American LG site didn't mention gwa. Our very good PC User magazine even changed labels over a couple of issues. Thanks

The current issue of PCUser gave the editors choice to the GSA4163B (not the 4161). Just before that came out, I paid $79 at the computer fair in Canberra for the boxed version of one of these (OK so the serial number on the box didn't match that on the drive) and one day I'll even try burning a DVD (yes I did get the freeby). Mine is basically still new, I have tried running DVDs on it and have burnt a couple of CDs. It seems to be quiet, fast and reliable.
