LG 4167b Dvd Burner

Having problems with a LG 4167 dvd burner. I took out the old cd rom drive, and pu this one in and my pc wont boot up will just shut off or run for a lil while and shut off again, I'v tried changing the jumper settings but still the same thing. Anyone know what this may be? And on the back of this new one there is only one slot for master slave on the other one there is two, dont know if that is it or not. Any info would be helpful.

I've read a number of posts for this problem. Usually, the drive has been configured incorrectly, as ham30 suggests, or something has been knocked around or unplugged by the install.
